The Showdown show before Global Warning, James Baker interfered on the Axel Way vs Terry Richards, attacking Axel. He was then scheduled for the Unified Championship in a triple threat involving him, Sickboy and Axel. Axel went on to win after hitting The Twister on Baker.

The second most revelant feud was the feud that dominated the midcard for a lot of time. Terry defeated Paul Blair two weeks before the show to win Number One contendership to the National Title. Mariano and Terry, after a lot of controversy and rivarly between the duo, were scheduled to face again. Prior to the match, Terry attacked Mariano's friend Paul, stabbing him with a switchblade. Mariano, in return, found Terry's long lost sister, Hikari, and reunited her with Terry, with the duo also having a big confrontation. In a back and forth match, Mariano was able to pick up the win with his trademark yakuza kick.

The main event pitted Pledge Alligence vs Rob Osbourne. Prior to the bout, Pledge had helped Rob in his hostile takeover over Mark Xamin's presidency. Although they'd face for the rights to control CWF, a match Pledge would win via countout when Magnus Thunder furiously attacked osbourne.
