The concrete cage is a match type held in Global Extreme Wrestling, considered one of their most dangerous match types. To date three such matches have been held, one in 2006 and two in 2008. The last concrete cage was held at Extreme Extravaganza in 2010. On that night. it was Troy Gafgen who broke the cycle and won the match by pin fall, defeating James Magnum-Reed, Sah'ta Thor and Shane Tallin to win the GEW World Championship.

Structure[]

The concrete cage is similar to a regular cage match, but instead of taking place within a regular wrestling ring, it occurs within a specially-created structure with solid, poured concrete as the floor. Victory comes only through pinfall or submission, with no escape clause or disqualifications. There are also no countouts, although due to the enclosure-based nature of the match this is rarely relevant.
