David Carsley (born March 12, 1978 in Whiston, Merseyside), better known by his ring name David Hunter is a British professional wrestler, currently working for Commonwealth Wrestling Promotions.

[edit] Personal Life
Carsley was born on March 12, 1978 in Whiston, UK. His father, Tony trained him to become a wrestler from an early age with family friend, Richard Ramos. David's brother, Shane (born April 23, 1985) is a former professional wrestler. Carsley was trained in the UK by his father and Ramos until he moved to the United States in 2000.

[edit] Starting Out
In July 2000, Carsley signed for JWA; a territorial promotion in Detroit. He was signed to a developmental deal and remained in Detroit until October 2001 when he signed for UCWA using the ring name David Hunter which he used until 2009. In October 2001, Carsley signed his first professional deal with UCWA. Whilst there he won the Tag Team Championships with his tag partner, Saturn. He also won the International Championship and he was the King of Chaos 2002. In May 2005, Carsley left UCWA to sign for Bobby McManus' United Wrestling Company.
[edit] United Wrestling Company
Carsley debuted in May 2005, with Mr Xplode as his manager. During his short first stint as a singles wrestler in UWC, Carsley hunted down the UWC International Championship before injury stopped his efforts. When Carsley returned, it was with old partner Saturn. They formed "The Predators" which lasted as a dominant force in UWC's tag division until January 2006, when Saturn injured his back. Both men left the UWC.

After leaving UWC, Carsley signed for CPW using the nickname "The Predator". Carsley stayed in CPW for just 2 months before returning to the United Wrestling Company on a full time deal, after he recieved an offer from Bobby McManus.
[edit] Back to UWC
In April 2006, Dave Carsley returned to the United Wrestling Company, 20 pounds heavier than before and this time with a much more risky, extreme style. In September, Carsley became UWC King of the Ring when he defeated Mike McCain qualifying to the final to take on King Kill, defeating him too. At Rampage in October 2006, he faced UWC International and Television Champion Eddie Buchalini Jr. and Slayer in a Triple threat match for both titles. Carsley won the first fall, thus winning the Television Title.
On October 11th, Carsley announced that after Hallowicked at the end of October, he would be taking leave for an unknown amount of time. Initially, Carsley reportedly intended to retire but rethought his career and decided to use the time after Hallowicked to decide what he wanted to do with his career. Carsley was seen backstage at X-Massacre along with fellow UWC Roster members, Big Ci and UWC Chairman Bobby McManus. Carsley left the building before the main event with his ex-wife, father and brother who spent a brief spell in UWC before returning to the UK. Carsley returned to UWC and teamed with Hannibal in his first match back in UWC against Slayer and Jack Hunter.
Four days after winning his first match back, Carsley announced he had signed with Tito Capaci's Power On Wrestling but would remain an active full time member of the United Wrestling Company. Coincidentally, UWC Chairman, Bobby McManus announced two weeks later that UWC was to close down and all recognition of UWC would live on in Power On Wrestling. UWC plans to continue through to the next pay per view, Deadly Games and to finish at SuperMania 3 in June. The final show was Wednesday Night Showdown 3 were superstars chose their opponents for their final UWC Match.
Upon joining Power On Wrestling, Carsley and Big Ci engaged in talks about creating a faction. The original Four Horsemen:XE featured Carsley under his David Hunter persona, Big Ci, Lance Erickson and Shane Hunter. Shane left in early 2007 and was replaced by Reck Maverick.
[edit] Hiatus
At SuperMania III, Carsley was put in the Midwest main event against reigning Midwest Eastern Heavyweight Champion, "Sensational" Shawn Stevens. Carsley was defeated and the day after announced he was taking an indefinate break from professional wrestling. On May 25th 2007, Carsley was released from his contract with Power On Wrestling, upon request.
Carsley wasn't seen again until June 24th when he appeared backstage at the POW:NE Show, Road to Red, White and Bruised, in a short segment featuring he and his father, who had taken over the New England territory. Carsley became the Director of Authority in the New England Territory. Since the in-ring return of Mick Cormac, Cormac targeted Carsley and at Ocean City Slam, the feud ended with a match between Cormac and Dave Hunter. Carsley represented the 'Hunter' family and most notably his father in a Loser Leaves NE match. Carsley was defeated but later returned without his father when both territories became one brand. Carsley was POW North American Champion until POW's closure.
Upon POW becoming SPEAR Wrestling Society, Carsley kept an off screen role at the company as a Creative Writer and Road Agent. He remained an inactive performer until he recieved an offer in 2008 from Jay Jefferson of the UWL.
[edit] Return to Pro Wrestling
Carsley returned to the ring on June 25th, 2006 defeating Larry Talbot in his first UWL match. He also took part in UWL's first UK event, teaming with Tiger Claw to defeat JR Zevon and Dick Blood at the Liverpool Olympia on July 16th. On July 27th, Carsley defeated Mac Mercer for the vacant United States Championship. During his tenure as champion, he joined Kyle Neverwinter, Robbie Venom and Tiger Claw to become a member of the Celtic Connection. Carsley was defeated for his United States Championship at Honor and Glory on August 30th by Tim Harrison. Later in the night, Robbie Venom, Mark Fyfe and Thaurer joined The Celtic Connection, becoming the Coalition. Carsley failed in his attempts to regain the United States Championship at Pure Aggression and has left the UWL indefinitely, after the brief tenure and implosion of The Coalition.
In July 2009, Carsley returned to wrestling in a defeat against Josh Eagles in Supermania V's main event. He then signed for Phenomenal Wrestling Revolution, based out of New Jersey. Carsley defeated Jet Carrington in his debut match. Shortly after returning to wrestling, he claimed the Phenomenal Championship. Carsley relocated to the United Kingdom shortly after becoming champion with Joseph Collins' joint venture with Ciaran McConnell, Commonwealth Wrestling Promotions.
