Global Championship Wrestling is a wrestling promotion based out of Albany, NY, founded in 2001. It was created ex-wrestler Chris Kerrigan, who is best known for his performances in ELITE and FCW. GCW acquired fivals WVWF in 2002, FCW in 2003, and EWC in 2005, making it the largest wrestling promotion in North America and the only North American promotion with overseas exposure. GCW airs two shows weekly; Monday Night Mayhem and Thursday Night Aftershock.
