The Lock Wrestling Federation (LWF) World Heavyweight Championship is the primary championship in the Lock Wrestling Federation.

History[]

The start of the company[]

In April 2001, Lock created the Lock Wrestling Federation. On the first broadcast on April 9, 2001, the Elite 8 Tournament was held. In the finals of the tournament, Lock helped Iceman defeat Phoenix to become the first champion.

Over the next several years, the title would be held by LWF legends such as Phoenix, Xecutioner, CoolJ, Arelas, and Alan Fernandez.

Unification with UWF Title[]

In July of 2003, a rival federation known an United Wrestling Fusion (UWF) invaded LWF at the Revolution Pay-Per-View, but it was later revealed that Lock had in fact signed all its members to contracts, and they had brought their titles with them. In August 2003 at Meltdown the LWF and UWF Titles were unified, and Iceman defeated Big Pimpin to become a 2-Time LWF Champion.

Title Vacated[]

At the Maximum Carnage PPV broadcast in February 2005, current champion Fear successfully defended the title against the Talk of the Town. Following the PPV, LWF went on hiatus and the title was vacated.

LWF Returns[]

LWF reopened on December 3, 2007. On December 23 at the Renewal Pay-Per-View, Arelas pinned Triple M to win the title in a Fatal Fourway Match that also included Psiko and "The Talk of the Town" Alan Fernandez.

Current champion[]

The current champion is Triple M, in his fourth reign. He won the Massive Melee on January 24, 2010.
