MFGG SoVeryHardcore Championship
From the eWrestling Encyclopedia.
The MFGG SoVeryHardcore Championship is a championship currently defended in MFGG Wrestling. It is always defended in Extreme Rules Matches or other similarly "hardcore" match-types.
[edit] History
After the creation of the MFGG World Heavyweight Championship, it was decided that MFGG Wrestling should have a secondary title. Also wishing to have a title which catered to more hardcore match types that wouldn't be appropriate for a world title, Captain Jeff Silvers announced the creation of the MFGG SoVeryHardcore Championship in July 2006. The title derived its name from the infamous SoVeryHappy emoticon used at the Mario Fan Games Galaxy message boards and would be fought primarily in Extreme Rules Matches. The first champion would be decided by an Extreme Rules Open Battle Royal held at Daily Damage #5; Uuryu Ishida won the title, but his reign would be short-lived, as he lost the title to Milkbone the next night at MFGG Live from Hell.
When the MFGG World Heavyweight Championship was effectively retired with the creation of the Undisputed World Championship in October 2006, the SoVeryHardcore Title became the oldest remaining championship in MFGG Wrestling. The IPW Heavyweight Championship is technically older, though it has far less history, as it was only active for two weeks prior to its abandonment in 2000 (and its resurrection in February 2007).
Though many people have held the title, it is largely synonymous with Suigi, who has held it Twelve times to date and is often referred to by Captain Jeff Silvers as "MFGG Wrestling's Extreme Legend." Suigi has held the title so many times, in fact, that beginning with his fifth reign on October 24, 2006, he has been allowed to use a custom silver-and-sapphire championship belt for the duration of any SoVeryHardcore Title reign, making him the only wrestler in MFGG history to be allowed his own custom title belt.
