This title is not to be confused with the NIWA World Championship.
The NIWA World Heavyweight Championship is the top title contested in the National Internet Wrestling Alliance fantasy wrestling promotion. The championship was created on June 28, 2008, but the first champion was determined in a tournament format. Zangief became the first NIWA World Heavyweight Champion on August 30, 2008 when he defeated "007" James Bond at Summer Stampede in a Ladder Match with help from The Security (Steve Wilkos and Blade). The current champion is Chuck Norris, who defeated Blitz in a Texas Death Match on January 25, 2013 at Breakdown '13.
