New Way Wrestling was originally opened up by Korner as an off-shoot to the once great, but then declining GWF (Global Wrestling Federation). Perhaps it is of note mentioning that another GWF off-shoot at this time was none other than R.A.G.E., a promotion which was constantly rivalling with NWW and boasted many mutual members. Originally with a roster primarily of ex-GWF members, NWW soon had no troubles attracting talented wrestlers of its own.
