Background

Childhood

Tristan Patrick McDaniel was born on St. Patrick's Day in a dingy and small public hospital in South Chicago. It is from this moment, after his mother died giving birth to him, that the dark forces which some would argue have haunted his life ever since first made their presence felt as his father took one look at the scrawny and red-haired boy who had without any malice or foresight killed the love of his life and hated him immediately. But while his father who was an undercover misogynist, which stood in stark contrast to his public persona as a pious and highly respectful figure who studied in the seminary, sought to constantly remind his only son that he was the reason his mother wasn't around, even going so far as to make up a story that his mother became a nun most agree that during this peripod of his life the person who would later become Nighthawk was a shy and modest child who was at his most comfortable in his room studying scripture for hours.

But as he grew up he was eventually attracted to his father's life, even taking a seat on his father's shoulder at the conclusion of a no-ropes barbed-wire match. Eventually deciding that it would serve him well to travel the world improving his craft Nighthawk left Chicago, and took up residence at the New Japan dojos.
