Phrixus Deimos is an American professional wrestler who previous wrestled for a variety of promotions under the stage name of Fear, including the Lock Wrestling Federation, the Empire Wrestling Federation, and United Wrestling Fusion. He currently is a member of the Unified Global Wrestling Coalition under his true name, Phrixus Deimos. Deimos is a 5-Time World Champion.

Career

Fear was a sideshow joke, an afterthought of LWF, until the Talk of the Town took him under his wing and made him a partner. Freak Show Central dominated the tag ranks, until one day the true side of Fear was revealed. Evil and sadistic, he thrives on unleashing his namesake upon others, with his former best friend being his favorite target. Fear once held the Cross-Hemisphere Title for over half a year, defending it in brutal matches against some of the best in LWF. He won the Lord of the Ring Tournament in 2004 and his crowning moment came at Massive Melee 2005, when he won the melee itself and with it, the LWF Title. Fear was the final champion when LWF closed its doors, and fittingly enough defended the title against the Talk in the final match.

Lock Wrestling Federation

In 2001 Fear was nothing, a nobody, an also-ran or an already-forgotten. Lost in the recesses of his own mind and clutching at the frayed ends of sanity, Fear was alone and aimless until taken in by a kindred spirit, the "Talk of the Town" Alan Fernandez, and his sister Arcadia, better known as Firestar. Together, they formed Freak Show Central.

Despite their support, in 2002 Fear was still seeking to find his place. At the first Lockmania, Fear jerked the curtain against an individual known as "Tie-Dye Guy" and while Fear came out victorious, it was hardly a night to get excited about. Yet Alan stood by his side, and they would win their first Tag Team Championship together. All was well until the day that the Emperor led an invasion force into LWF, his Empire Wrestling Federation, and it was then that his secret came out, and Fear was forced to stand beside him as his EWF Crown Champion. Yet Alan never turned his back on him, and his refusal to quit, refusal to ever give in, inspired him to cast aside EWF in favor of his new family, and it wasn't long before Freak Show Central was once again the tag champs.

In 2003 Alan and Fear found ourselves to be the targets of the Replica and his Following, and while the Replica would in time fall himself, Fear saw a glimpse of true darkness, tasted true fear, and Fear liked it. Fear embraced his namesake, and began to torture and torment the LWF roster, culminating in his winning of the Cross-Hemisphere Championship, which Fear would subsequently retain against Alan in brutal fashion, a defeat that put him on the shelf for months. His reign set records that stand to this day, and included victories over Red Fusion (in a match that unified the title with the UWF Global Championship) and Phoenix himself (in the first ever Hall of Mirrors Match). After Alan returned, he and Fear had their infamous Best of Seven Series for the Cross-Hemisphere Title, a series of matches that included a Strap Match, the Hall of Mirrors, the Weehawken Water Tower, and culminated in his defeat of him in the first ever Iron Man Match in LWF history.

By the time Fear lost the title to Arelas in early 2004, Fear had held it for over six months, a record that still stands today. In the meantime, his feud with Alan and Firestar continued, as Fear was joined by Synn. In time, Alan saw things his way, and they would win the Tag Team Championship for a third time. In the meantime, Fear found himself a new target, perhaps one of his favorite of all time...Metalhead Matt Marauder. Fear stripped away layer and layer of the Marauder's mind, displaying his weakness to the world for the first time, only to have him outshine him on what was at that time the greatest night of his career, when only minutes after Fear won the Lord of the Ring Tournament, Fear had to stand by and watch as he won the World Championship. Fear would take his revenge months later, as in front of his pitiful fans, Fear forced him to quit for the first and only time in his career.

In 2005, for the first time ever, the World Championship itself was on the line in the Massive Melee Match. When Fear won it was the first time Fear held the title, although it was the third World Championship of his career, having been the champion of both the EWF and the UWF during his time there. Fittingly enough, Fear would defend the title against Alan, and again came out victorious, but LWF would close its doors with him still the unbeaten champion.

Empire Wrestling Federation

During his time in EWF, Fear won their World Title, which he defended against the likes of Dark Dragon and Downfall. Fear held every championship available in the promotion, and was the EWF Imperial Champion when EWF invaded LWF, but when he faced his former partner Alan Fernandez at Revolution in what was supposed to be an "I Quit" Match, Fear chose to instead quit the EWF promotion and realign himself with Fernandez.

Ultimate Wrestling Fusion

During his time in UWF, Fear once again was a World Champion, this time defeating Iceman.

Lock Wrestling Federation, Part 2

When LWF reopened in 2007, Fear found himself a new pupil, the self-proclaimed "Lord of Pain" Donovan Hastings. They were the first to hold gold in the new era of LWF.

In 2008, Fear wrote his opus, when Fear struck down the Se7en, showing LWF the error of its ways, the truth of its collective sin. When the Dirty South Franchise formed, Fear reunited with Alan for the first time in years as allies, and together with Psiko they formed the Lunatic Fringe.

After defeating the Franchise, Fear came to realize that Fear missed the ways of the past. Old habits reappear, fighting the fear of fear. Fear joined Arelas and his Infinite Flight, needing extra support against people like Travis Pierce and John Russo that were trying to take his spot away from him. After Arelas fell, Fear stood together with Alan and Psiko once more.

Unified Global Wrestling Coalition

Fear came to UGWC having revealed his real name, Phrixus Deimos, and ready to unleash a new brand of evil. He targeted his former student, Hastings, and took the World Heavyweight Championship from him at In Your Hands '10, although his reign would be short-lived. Fear reunited with Alan and briefly held the Cooperative Championship before turning on Alan and ending his career at Horizon '11.

Fear started 2012 with a bang, winning the Global Challenge to capture the vacant World Heavyweight Championship, which he defended all around the world in such locales as Japan and Australia, before losing the title to Ezekiel Pax.

Phrixus briefly retired following Horizons in 2012, but returned in March 2013 having re-dedicated himself to restoring the honor and legacy of the Cross-Hemisphere Title.
