Pledge Alligence made his professional debut in SAW, Supreme Action Wrestling, in early 1997. This would be the first of three stints in SAW; one as a wrestler, and two as CWF President. He burst on to the scene with his manager, The Guiding Light of Professional Wrestling, Don Russo. In a matter of weeks, Pledge positioned himself as the number one contender to The SAW World Championship, held by The Hotshot Mike Stewart. Backstage politics prevented Pledge Alligence from winning The SAW World Title during his initial tenure in SAW but he would go on to win it briefly the following year.
Shawn "Hellstone" Hillard
During a SAW event, Pledge Alligence was attacked by a mysterious giant of a man, Shawn "Hellstone" Hillard. The following week Pledge Alligence and Hellstone would have their first and only match and Hellstone would be victorious.Hellstone is a man of few words who lets his actions speak for him in the ring. Not much is known about his background other than it appears he had a country upbringing due to his vocabulary and his love of the word "ass." With his trademark long, red hair, and black leather trenchcoat, Hellstone lives on the darkside and was a perfect foil Pledge Alligence. Hellstone will be best remembered for delivering his finishing maneuver, The Hellstorm (Fireman's Carry into a Stunner) to Ozzy Ozbourne during his heated rivalry with Jack Mason.
Simon Styles arrived in SAW shortly after Hellstone. Prior to his career in professional wrestling, Simon was a professional model. He is notoriously meticulous in his appearance. He wears the finest clothes and never has a hair out of place. Simon became fast friends with Hellstone and their contrasting styles allowed them to form one of the most formidable teams in history, Flash and Trash. Simon Styles will be best remembered for the epic battles he had early in his career with the legend "Jammin" Jimmy Blast.
