Rebecca Lawrence (born Tanzie Juliet Roberts, better known by her ring name Rebecca Saint) is an Indigenous Australian professional wrestler currently working for HYBRID Wrestling as a member of their Ascension brand, where she is the reigning HYBRID Honor Champion.

She is probably best known for her time in Visionaries of Wrestling and Future Bebo Wrestling, the latter of which she won the Women's Championship and the Star Championship on one occasion each. She has also made appearances for various other promotions (primarily in Australia), such as Down Under Wrestling and In Your House Wrestling Federation.

Lawrence has been known to change her ring name depending on her disposition; she will often be referred to as Becky Saint when wrestling as a face, and Rebecca Saint when wrestling as a heel.

Professional wrestling[]

Future Bebo Wrestling (2010-2011)[]

Saint made her professional wrestling debut in Future Bebo Wrestling. At Concussion, she teamed with Nikki Sanchez to face the teams of Sweet Poison & Willow Valentine and Yolanda Anderson & Mickie Melane to determine the first-ever FBW Women's Tag Team Champions; a match which the latter team won. At Unexpected, she was one of three challengers (alongside Sweet Poison and Tiffany Genevieve) to challenge Nikki for the Women's Championship. She was unsuccessful, as the champion went on to retain.

In December of 2010, at Golden Christmas, Saint defeated Velvet Rose Hudson to capture the FBW Star Championship. The following month, at New Year's War, she teamed with Krystal Madison, Danielle Fellon and Cheyenne Star in an unsuccessful attempt to defeat Jodah Kayne, Mystique, Tiffany Genevieve and Sophie Adams in an 8-Woman Tag Team Match.

In the lead-up to Heartless Valentine, it was announced that Sweet Poison's Women's Championship and Saint's Star Championship would be unified in an Elimination Chamber Match, where the winner would be crowned the Unified Star Champion. Saint lost in the match, and Jodah Kayne was the eventual winner. It wasn't long after this that Saint left the wrestling scene.

Down Under Wrestling (2011-2014)[]

Saint made her first appearance for Down Under Wrestling, using her shortened name Becky Saint, at the December event -- just two months after the company opened its doors. She defeated Rochelle Louis in a match where she, unlike her opponent, impressed DUW officials, and was signed to a deal to bring her back frequently.

Two months later, Saint returned to a DUW ring, however she lost to Jerri Brekke. Brekke, who made her DUW debut that night, was actually a much more experienced wrestler. The following month, Saint faced another debuting competitor in Sophie Ryan, this time coming away with the victory. She would avenge her earlier loss to Brekke by defeating her in a one-on-one match, after which Ryan appeared on the ramp and declared she was far more attractive than both Saint and Brekke. After enduring a month's worth of similar taunts from Ryan, Saint challenged her to a match, which Ryan arrogantly accepted. Ryan would win when Brekke, who had originally come to ringside in support of Saint, turned on her and allowed the inexperienced Ryan to emerge victorious.

Feud with Jerri Brekke and Sophie Ryan[]

Saint approached Brekke at the following show, demanding an explanation for her actions. Brekke claimed that Ryan's appearance could open doors for her in not only the wrestling world, but outside the ring as well, while Saint was just a little girl trying to be a woman. Enraged, Saint challenged Brekke to a match, however, Brekke declined. The following month, she approached Brekke and Ryan backstage, once again demanding they prove their worth in the ring. But, once again they declined, believing they had nothing to prove. For a third month in a row,

Saint would challenge and again get shot down -- to which Saint replied she had already gone to DUW Owner Austin Henderson, who granted her request against the two for a tag team match at the anniversary show. Brekke and Ryan laughed in her face, claiming she had no friends to team with, to which Saint left silently.

At the anniversary show, Brekke and Ryan taunted Saint, who had yet to produce a tag team partner. Soon after, her mystery partner was revealed as Spitfire. Saint and Spitfire were victorious over Brekke and Ryan, when Saint successfully pinned Brekke. The following month, Saint accompanied Spitfire to the ring for her match against Sophie Ryan, who would go on to win when Brekke interfered.

Saint would avenge her friend's loss, however, defeating Brekke the following month with a quick roll-up. Spitfire and Sophie Ryan soon jumped in the ring, but officials broke the four girls up before any further physicality could occur. At the next show, Ryan defeated Saint when she was distracted by Brekke attacking Spitfire at ringside. Later that night, all four girls were in Austin Henderson's office, bickering between each side. Austin gave them a proposal -- a tag team match next month, where the winning team would move on to face each other in a singles match the following month to determine the first-ever DUW Women's Champion. All four ladies agreed that a title would be the perfect way to determine who was superior.

Ryan and Brekke would win by cheating, when Ryan had a handful of Saint's tights, and thus Ryan and Brekke would face each other in the title match. In the title match, Brekke lied down voluntarily, allowing Ryan to defeat her with no effort whatsoever. Austin Henderson reversed the referee's decision, refusing to have a title decided in such a manner. He then restarted the match as a Fatal 4 Way, with Spitfire and Saint now involved. Spitfire would pin Ryan to become the truely inaugural Women's Champion. As a show of respect for her friend, Saint raised Spitfire's arm in victory following the contest.

Saint challenged Spitfire for the Women's Title the following month, however she was unsuccessful in capturing the gold. Regardless, the match received high praise from critics. Saint and Spitfire were beaten down post-match by Ryan and Brekke. Saint would take a few months off following this, as she had prior commitments to other projects. When she returned in July 2013, Brekke had defeated Spitfire to become the new champion. Saint teamed with Spitfire to defeat Brekke and Ryan in a tag team match, which saw Saint pin the Women's Champion, earning herself a title shot the following month. Although Saint almost had the title won, Ryan created a decent enough to distraction to allow Brekke to retain her title.

Temporary in-ring return (2015)[]

It was announced on Solid Studios Wrestling's official Facebook page that Saint would return to professional wrestling for a one-time appearance, to team with Carly Quinn against The McKenzie Twins at SSW Stairway To Stardom VI. Quinn and Saint lost the match when Saint was defeated.

Return to DUW (2015)[]

Saint made her return to DUW, with the intention of regaining her Women's Championship from Kelsey Spencer. A match between the two was signed for Last Call, where Saint ended Spencer's near-one year reign to become a two-time DUW Women's Champion.

Visionaries of Wrestling (2015-2016)[]

Saint made her debut in Visionaries of Wrestling on December 14, 2015, defeating Valerie Beasley. Saint entered VoW as one half of The Bellis Street Socialites with her former rival, Kelsey Spencer -- Saint acted as less of a tag team partner to Spencer, and more of a mentor to mould her into a villain. Saint would abandon Spencer during their match with the Chaos Sworn, causing them to lose the match via count-out when Spencer was driven through the announcer's table.

Saint was part of a pre-show Battle Royal at Double Jeopardy where the winner would receive a Zero Gravity Championship shot against Katie Moicelle on the following Breakthrough. Saint was eliminated early in the contest. She lost a rematch to Beasley when Beasley forced her to submit. Her losing streak would continue when she lost a Fatal 4-Way Match.

Saint's losing streak ended on April 28, 2016 when she defeated Twin City Champion Gina Neon.

Feud with Kelsey Spencer[]

Saint entered a feud with Kelsey Spencer after she betrayed her protege and humiliated her. In the lead-up to her encounter with Kelsey Spencer at Fate of the Gods II, Saint teamed with Tyron Bickerton to face Spencer and Heath Williams. Following the match, Saint and her new apprentice Mimi continued the assault on Spencer, with the intention of re-aggravating the shoulder injury that almost cost her her career. Spencer wasn't seen on VoW television for several weeks.

During this time, Saint proceeded to disrespect Spencer in every way imaginable: she discredited everything Spencer had accomplished in wrestling, assaulted her mother and desecrated her grandparents' graves. Despite Saint's aggressive suggestions of retirement, Spencer would return to action at Fate of the Gods and defeat Saint in a bloody encounter at VoW Fate of the Gods II.

Final months and departure[]

Saint defeated former Zero Gravity Champion Katie Moicelle to qualify for the Quest For The Case Match at Heatstroke, and then defeated Stacy Jones on the following Breakthrough, after which she took to social media and announced her intentions to leave Visionaries of Wrestling with the briefcase. Saint and Bickerton teamed up on the final Breakthrough before the pay-per-view in a winning effort against Casa De Kami.

Saint was unsuccessful in walking away with the briefcase. She would leave the promotion soon afterwards. She took an extended break from wrestling, citing concussion issues. However, it was later revealed that Saint had become pregnant.

NOVA Wrestling (2017)[]

Saint returned to the ring in April 2017, where she saved her former partner Kelsey Spencer from an attack at the hands of Jerri Brekke and Sophie Ryan, turning babyface in the process. Saint and Spencer went on to reform their former tag team, now known as the Uncanny Socialites, and were due to face Brekke and Ryan in a non-title match. However Saint convinced them to put their titles on the line. Spencer and Saint defeated Ryan and Brekke to win the NOVA Victorian Tag Team Championship. They would lose the titles back to Ryan and Brekke three weeks later.

IYHWF (2017)[]

Saint appeared in Australian promotion IYHWF, where she and Spencer teamed up as the Uncanny Socialites. The run was largely uneventful and they soon left the company.

HYBRID Wrestling (2017-present)[]

Uncanny Socialites[]

Saint and Spencer debuted in HYBRID Wrestling for their Ascension brand in October 2017 at the Conviction pay-per-view event, where they competed in the Unlock Your Future Match. Saint won the first of four keys, which unlocked the box containing the HYBRID Twin Star Championship. She gave the other half to Spencer, making them the inaugural Twin Star Champions.

They would hold onto the titles until February 2018, where they lost them to Ronnie Lester and Sylvia Lopez, two members of The Crusade.

Heel turn, feud with Spencer[]

Following the Twin Star Title loss, Saint turned on her partner with a vicious assault, becoming a heel once more. In the weeks following the assault, Saint placed the blame on Spencer's friends and family for their mistreatment of Saint, and the fans for always paying more attention to Kelsey over her. The feud consisted largely of Saint crossing many personal lines to get into the head of her opponent, including aggressive flirting with Spencer's fiance (Saint's ex) and constant threats of bodily harm.

The feud led to a featured match at Evolutionary War II, the biggest event of the HYBRID calendar, in which Saint would receive both the winner's and loser's pay checks due to a pre-match agreement made by Spencer to make the match official. Spencer defeated Saint following a Deprivation DDT. Following the match, Saint received a standing ovation from the fans, and appeared to show remorse for her actions over the previous two months before leaving.

Personal life[]

Roberts was adopted by United Kingdom wrestler Carson Lawrence, who also trained her to wrestle.

Roberts dated fellow professional wrestler Tyron Bickerton between 2008 and 2017.

Although she initially cited concussion issues as the reason she couldn't wrestle, it was revealed in October 2016 that Roberts was pregnant. However, she the baby was stillborn. She suffered a miscarriage a year later.
