[edit] XD Championship and IPW Heavyweight Championship in articles
WP:MFGG policy suggests listing championships by the federation in which they were won. This raises two questions:
- Should the XD Championship be listed under MFGG Wrestling or X-Degeneration?
- Should the IPW Heavyweight Championship be listed under MFGG Wrestling or Internet Pro Wrestling?
The XD problem arises from the fact that, while defended in and recognized by MFGG, the XD title was essentially sanctioned by X-Degeneration (in fact, the original intent was to present XD as a wholly separate e-fed from MFGG and possibly even introduce other XD titles, though this never actually happened).
The IPW problem stems from the fact that it's a title defended in MFGG that originated in another e-fed (and bares that e-fed's name). If this were Wikipedia, it would probably be listed under the federation that currently controls it, but this isn't Wikipedia, and we need to decide what our policy will be.
In practice, neither of these matters are earth-shattering or anything. In fact, the only article for which this absolutely needs to be decided is my own, as I held the IPW Heavyweight Championship in IPW once and could very well hold it again in the future (and I'm pretty much the only person who could hold it in both federations).
