The eList is a list of the best eFederations on the planet and the section of the planet they represent, if not the entire planet itself. It took months to build and debuted June 15, 2007.

HISTORY

As time went by, a handler by the name of Daniel Baldwin became annoyed by the existence of hundreds of eFeds. He believed that eWrestling was more of a writing competition than just a hobby and hated the fact that championships almost meant nothing when there were so many of them in so many organizations.

“What’s the point in winning a world title when there are 205 other ones out there?” - Daniel Baldwin.

Over time others began to agree and decided to make a list of the “official” eFeds on the planet. This is somewhat comparable to hardcore wrestling. While there have been literally hundreds of backyard wrestling “Organizations” throughout time, only a special few are given any kind of recognition, leaving the others, the ones only in it for the “fun” and not the history, go unnoticed. This is a harsh yet necessary process.

Purpose

The purpose of the eList is to give eWrestling some much needed credibility through it’s top eFederations and to sort out the new and lackluster organizations from the well established, high profile eFeds of the internet.

I STILL DON’T UNDERSTAND!

Ok, let me put it this way. Let’s compare eWrestling with a video game. You buy the video game and it comes as a one player (Simulated eFed). For some, that’s just fine and dandy, you’re satisfied beating the computer, but for others, maybe the computer is just a little too easy, so they end up playing with their friends (eFed). Now for some, having bragging rights over your buddies if satisfying enough, but for others, they find themselves even wanting a bigger challenge, so they go to a huge video game tournament (Interfed). Now some on the bottom of the barrel stay and continue to perfect their video game skills, the talented winners feel like they can take on the world and join the national and worldwide video game tournaments. This is where the eList checks in. The eList does it’s very best to find the cream of the crop, the big shows with the most history for you to become a part of. THAT is what the eList is all about. While some are satisfied on certain levels, the eList gives those who want the greatest challenges imaginable the directions towards the greatest prizes anywhere!

The Process of making the eList

The process of how to determine the eFeds deemed worthy to make the eList was a painful one. Many in the creation of the list had many different opinions. From the roster size to fed activity to the actual workings of the organization proved obsolete. These were mostly opinionated concepts and lacked any real stability. The only possible way to determine a successful eFed was to see how long it has survived, thus eFed making the eList would be determined by it’s time in existence.

The Rules of the eList

Making the eList depends on what type of eFed you are, but is still determined by the time of it’s existence. Time off or “hiatus” does not count for existence time. Only active eFed time counts and for those of you who are NOT weekly, the rule stands that 1 event = 1 week, which means that it may take longer for eFeds with less than 4 events a month to make the list.

Regional eFederations

For regional promotions, promotions that only cover a small region from a mere city to an entire side of states, there must be an existence period of at least 2 consecutive years and 104 events before becoming a part of the eList.

National eFederations

National eFeds that cover a full country of any kind must survive a full 3 consecutive years and 156 events before becoming a part of the eLlist.

Continental eFederations

Continental eFeds that cover a full country of any kind must survive a full 4 consecutive years and 208 events before becoming a part of the eLlist. This usually only occurs in the rare case of an organization having a national based championship along with a non- world championship (ala a US title and an “eFed name here” Championship never declared a world title).

Worldwide eFederations

Worldwide organizations must survive a full 5 consecutive years and 260 events before becoming official and having their championship be deemed a “World” championship by the eList.

Loopholes

The only way around the existence rule is to join an alliance that is already on the eList. A great example of this is the West Coast Wrestling Association , whom had only been formed in 2007, yet since it was a member of the World (Fantasy) Wrestling Alliance, an alliance recognized as a worldwide eFed by the eList and succumbed to their world title, they were allowed access onto the eList automatically.

The Purpose of the Rules

These rules are created the way they are for many reasons. For one, we are hoping that this will promote the more realistic method of regional organizations as most are just that, very small eFeds. We are also hoping to boost the presence of national and continental eFeds as they too are realistic in that most handlers hail from the same country or continent. The most important thing here is to stop the continued method of unsuccessful “worldwide” promotions AKA eFeds with a “world” championship that is obviously not and dies off within a few months.

PAST eFEDERATIONS THAT WOULD HAVE FIT THE eLIST AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER

Now, we are aware that there may have been eFeds that had survived the ruled amount of existence or events to be deemed an official eFed on the eList, but are for one reason or another, gone or had to go on hiatus for a time. These eFeds will still be recognized on the eList, but only as past eFeds. If an eFed has a “World” Championship and has since gone on hiatus and returned, it will not be deemed a “World” Championship again until it fulfills the required time again. Sorry, but them’s the brakes!

Pros and Cons

Pros

The eList allows people to see the very best eFederations the world has to offer without having to jump from eFed to eFed to get there.

The eList also gives new eFeds something to strive for. While most will fail, everybody would want their eFed to make it to the eList, which will make them work twice as hard to keep their eFed afloat. No prize is greater than surviving long enough to make the eList, although we hope that only a skilled few will try and the rest will just join organizations that are already on the eList.

Cons

Sadly, while an eFed may die off due to lack of a roster, the roster that is there may have run their buts into the ground for nothing. It’s a shame that so many handlers have to suffer by Rping their hearts out only for the organization they worked so hard for to just die off, but then again, that was why the eList was made : to give handlers a chance to find a stable eFed right from the get go and pour their talent into something lasting and meaningful.

eFederations on the verge of making the eList

The Growth of an eFederation

The members of the eList hope that this will change the way eWrestling is conducted. We hope that eFeds will now start as regional promotions with a heavyweight title not recognized as Worldwide. After 3 years, the regional eFed may consider becoming national, and adding secondary state titles will make your heavyweight belt grow to National level. In the fourth year, the eFed could create a United States Championship, making your heavyweight title and organization continental, and finally, after 5 years of growth, you can finally name your championship a World Heavyweight Championship and be recognized as such. According to the eList, this would be the absolute best way to grow your eFed in a realistic and rewarding way.

Notice

The eList in no way is absolutely official, and in eWrestling, what is? But much like the PWI declaring certain titles “world” championships, it may not be official, but it is still widely recognized anyway.

Help

Now, the eList may not be entirely accurate as there are many eFeds unseen by us from the past and present, so we humbly ask for your help in locating other eFeds that fit the rules of the eList from the past and present and adding them to this page. From there we will wage our own investigation of the offered eFed. Thank you in advance for your help.
