Creation of the ChampionshipEdit
United Wrestling Fusion was a conglomerate of the Empire Wrestling Federation and Xtreme Chaos Wrestling. A single champion was determined to be needed to reign over both brands. At Ultimate Resolution, Iceman defeated eighteen others in a massive Elimination Chamber Match to become the first champion.
LWF TakeoverEdit
In July 2003, UWF was purchased by the Lock Wrestling Federation. At Meltdown, the UWF was retired when it was unified with the LWF World Championship when Iceman defeated Big Pimpin.
