[edit] History
The UWL Heritage Championship serves as the secondary belt for the up-and-comers of the UWL, however it should be noted that numerous Champions have held the belt after World Championships. Wrestlers such as Josh Eagles, Shawn Stevens and Matt Mathews are prime examples of this. The first Champion was decided in a tournament that saw Josh Eagles defeat Seymor Boner to win it on December 12th, 2005.
To-date, Kid Luck has had the longest, complete reign with the belt, holding it throughout late Spring and all of Summer in 2006. During this reign, he also unified the belt with the UWL Pride Championship, by defeating Danny Danielson. Over a year later, Matt Mathews defeated Vincent Varillion to capture and subsequently unify the UWL Television Championship with the Heritage Championship on January 17, 2008.
[edit] Current Champion
The current Champion is Tim Harrison who is in his first reign. He defeated Shawn Stevens and Josh Eagles in a triple threat match at Rebirth: Stage One to win the title, unifying it with the UWL United States Championship and the PWH Pride Championship.
