SummerSlam III
Edit
SummerSlam III is the third event under the SummerSlam name. It is hosted by Wrestling Franchise Federation. It is set to take place on August 19, 2012. It is currently being held in Los Angeles, California at the Staples Center.
Originally there was a plan to hold WFF No Surrender on August 19, 2012. Last minutes changes called for SummerSlam to take the August PPV slot. The No Surrender PPV will be held in July, which was the month SummerSlam was originally suppose to take place.
Background
Edit
The WFF made their official return on August 12th, 2012, hosting a special Tribute to the Troops event in Fort Hood, Texas. The main event saw John Cena defeat CJSellers with the help of the returning Shannon Silveria, who cost CJSellers the match. The next night on a special SmackDown! vs. RAW event, CJSellers called Shannon Silveria out, when Silveria did come out, he offered a match between the two at the upcoming WFF No Surrender PPV. Eric Bischoff, who returned as the official RAW GM, announced that Shannon Silveria will face off against CJSellers in a Last Man Standing match. Later in the night, Shannon Silveria would become the new WFF Champion after winning a 20 Man Battle Royal, then going on to face John Cena, which the winner would then be the new champion. Earlier in the night, CJSellers was run-down by a black car. However, later on after Shannon Silveria became WFF Champion, CJSellers said that he would medically cleared for their Last Man Standing match at No Surrender. He also stated that since Shannon Silveria was the champion now, their match was changed, and now it will be for the WFF Championship.
CJSellers went then to announce on Twitter that last-minute plans cancelled the No Surrender PPV, which was hyped since the return of the WFF. WFF SummerSlam is scheduled o return on August 19, 2012, the same day No Surrender was set to take place. The last-minute changes for a hyped PPV has never been done in the history of any professional -or- CAW wrestling.
However, SummerSlam was a scheduled event to take place in July, No Surrender will now be take the July-spot and SummerSlam will take place officially in August-slot.
The matches were all being held up to the main event, which was will see the return of the CJSellers vs. Shannon Silveria feud that began originally in 2009, and then ended in 2010.
